You’ll cycle through a variety of functional movements—using barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, cardio machines, and bodyweight exercises—but without the heavy lifts. It’s all about consistency, pace, and fun, led by a passionate coach who brings the energy every time.

Available to all members as part of our unlimited plan and accessible to non-members through a drop-in fee, "Bullet Proof" is the ultimate maintenance and strengthening class for anyone and everyone.

We are honored to invite you to a very special event at CrossFit Aptos—our annual fundraiser for the Veteran Surf Alliance in memory of our beloved member, Chad Peyton. Join us on Saturday, May 17th, 2025 as we come together to celebrate Chad's incredible spirit and lasting legacy. Regular classes at 8 AM, 9 AM, and 10 AM will be canceled that day, but Kevin will still host Bulletproof at 7 AM—a perfect way to get warmed up and stretched out before the workout.
Remembering Chad Peyton:
Chad inspired all of us with his love as a husband, brother, son, friend, and dedicated member of our CrossFit Aptos family. He believed that the way we live our lives invites others to do the same, and he lived his as a courageous, generous force of love. Chad elevated every space he entered, and his dedication to fitness and community continues to inspire us.

The Veteran Surf Alliance (VSA), closely aligned with Chad’s passion for supporting veterans, connects military veterans through the joy of surfing, building community, camaraderie, and confidence. It enriches the mind, body, and spirit of veterans nationwide, seeing this as a continuation of their service.

The hero workout “Peyton” serves as a tribute to Chad:
20-minute AMRAP:
10 Chest-to-Bar Pull-ups
10 Dumbbell Thrusters (50/35)
Every 2 minutes, complete 40 double-unders
At the 20-minute mark, take off for a 2-mile trail run through Nisene Marks park.
We'll have plenty of scaling options to ensure everyone can participate and honor Chad's memory together.
Logistics:
Date: Saturday, May 17th, 2025
Heats: 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM
Sign-Up: Please join us in the workout with your heat and plan ahead for participation.
Donation: We'd appreciate a minimum donation of $10, which can be made in Gymdesk through the sale menu where you currently purchase merch and beverages.
Arrival: Please arrive early enough to give yourself time to warm up. We’ll have a suggested warm-up on the board.
Enjoy: Coffee, donuts, and great merchandise will be available during the event.
