This is a common question we hear particularly from female clients. The answer is NO! You will likely see your musculature and physique as being more defined, but doing CrossFit does not make you “bulky”. You have to keep in mind that the female bodies of CrossFit that you see in competition are training consistently for the sport of fitness. They are doing far more than a 1 hour class a few times a week. As you improve your diet and consistently attend classes your body composition will change. But there are several other factors that affect the way you look physically. Those being genetics, age, environment, previous physical adaptations from your sport (ie: endurance runner vs. powerlifter vs. dancer), how often you train and hobbies/habits.
